Why do people take advantage of others? They take from those who have a giving heart, but are unwilling to assist with their money or time without substantial financial compensation.
“Is this not the selfish, self centered nature of man, considering themselves to be the most important and primary focus of their attention, with the concept of ‘what’s in it for me.
It is just the sin nature expressing itself through people who are still walking in sin. They seldom think about the needs of others.
If you walk in the Spirit, your focus is directed away from self to that which is outside of yourself.
The natural world’s lifestyle is always focused around self as it was with Lucifer. There are different degrees of self focus. The most extreme is to become so corrupted in their heart, that they destroy others for self gain, without any regret or guilty conscious. They don’t think about others, always focused on self gain, self gratification, power, fame, greed, wealth and dishonest gain. The basses of all sin come back to this basic ingredient of ‘self”, as ‘number one’, the most important.
As you draw closer to me, the characteristics of the sin nature become more obvious.
Not only will it become immediately recognized, the visible results will continue to bother you, because you are seeing it through My eyes and perspective. Every word associated with sin is rooted and self-centered. Every word associated with the purpose of God, as directed through us, is for the benefit of others, which in turn is also a blessing to others.
