In a dream last night, I saw my life as being either good or bad, and I felt dissatisfied whit where I was going. I was contemplating what I could do to make it more fulfilling. Then the Lord spoke to me in the dream and said: ‘you need more of Me and less of you’. As I pondered that, I realized how true that was. Still dreaming, I asked the Lord to bring these thoughts back to memory after I wake up. During prayer tome this is what he said to me:
“As long as you focus on yourself, your needs and desires, or what you perceive to be success, you will be disappointed. But don’t become discouraged, due to small beginnings. You must learn to walk before you run, and listen for directions and a plan before you move.
You won’t accomplish anything if you don’t know where to go. It is like putting the cart before the horse, so that the horse can’t pull it, and the cart will go no ware. You are the cart, and I am the horse.
Without Me you can only role downhill, but with My power pulling you along and leading you to where you should go, I will be able to take you up steep hills, and through ruff terrain, for I am much more than a horse, and I have unlimited power and authority to do the impossible.
With more of you, your thoughts and faith is based in your own abilities. With more of Me your faith is based in My abilities. Quit trying to pull the cart in your own power, and leave the driving to Me, for I have the power, and I know the destiny I have for you. For a little longer I will stretch your faith, to teach you to trust in Me under every circumstances. Remember that your strength, power, and authority is in Me.
Don’t let pride have ant part of your life, which causes you to boast about your abilities and gifts, which I have given you. If you do this, and continue to do this, I will leave you to your own devices. For your pride shall be in Me, and Me working through you, and those with you, will accomplish great and mighty exploits. I will not share My glory with any other, but with Me there is no limit to what I can do. I on you, is your hope for glory.
