“Learning to wait is preparation for greater things to come. For the waiting process have many purposes. Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. For people like you, who lack patience, the waiting process causes stress, and anxiety. It is I, who uses this process to change you. Learn how to wait, and allow yourself to rest in My promises; trusting in Me, and believing in faith that I will never leave you nor forsake you.
When Moses led the children of Israel from Egypt, through the wilderness, they stopped at Mount Sinai, and there I had my servant Moses meet with Me on the mountain. The people felt that their leader left them because it took so long; believing they had been forsaken, they started complaining and regressed back into their old ways. For forty years this continued, and their destiny was never fulfilled, because they never trusted in Me, nor had faith in My promises.
The waiting is to build faith. At times when things seem to be going wrong and it seems that I am no longer with you, it isn’t so. The enemy plants these thoughts to cause distrust and lack of faith in Me.
I use it to build character in you to be able to trust Me in all circumstances, no matter what the circumstances. There are times when you feel close to Me, and times that it feels that I am far away, or even not there. But I am always there, so fear not.
I know of every circumstance you find yourself in. some of your worst trials and circumstances can be your greatest victories. Through them let your faith grow in My fullness. I know the future, and what will happen. But you speculate and anticipate what will happen, through logic and common sense. But I am above that, and know things which may seem to be bad from your perspective, but I know they are good for you.
So quit trying to figure everything out, for it is I who will give you a future and a hope. And it is I who will lead and guide you in the way you should go. So learn to rest in My ways, and don’t lean on your own understanding and fight against Me and My ways, for I have the best plan for your life, and I will guide you through it.”
