When we become ‘born again’ we invite God the Holy Spirit into our life, who takes residence in the temple of our body. He comes in with the intent of communing (having intimate relationship) with our spirit, which was created in God’s image. (Rev. 3:20) We must desire to open the door and allow him in. He desires us to yoke together in unity with Him, partnering together with, in the mind Christ, with His power and authority to overcome the restraints of the physical world, in its corrupted ways, called sin. He wants us to be able to live by faith, and not by sight. He teaches us how to have ‘ears to hear’, to listen and hear clearly, to understand, and to obey. As we listen and obey, He teaches us to walk, talk and live in His presence; which produces righteousness, peace and joy. No longer controlled by the external fleshly lusts, but walking according to internal revelation, planted within our heart (spirit / soul).
