(1 John 5:14-15) “Now this the confidence that we have in Him that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us! And if we know that He hears us, whatever petition that we have asked of Him.” We have free access to God in prayer, buy there are limitations of the prayers He answers.
The requirements are:
(1) Ask in Jesus name (John 13:14) (John 15:16&16:23-24).
(2) Abiding in Christ and allowing His words to abide in us (John 15:7).
(3) Having faith (Matthew 21:22) (James 1:6).
(4) Being righteous in life (1 John 3:21-22).
(5) Fervent in prayer (James 5:16).
(6) Ask according to His will (1 John 5:14-15).
Genuine prayer is subordinating our will to His; we open the doors for His fullest blessings being released in our lives.
