A Bridge Dream RHEMA WORD (12/ 05/ 09)

I had a dream believed to have pertinence to what is presently going on in my life. The dream ended around 3:00 AM, but I didn’t get up until 3:27 AM to write it down, after pondering, if it has meaning:

I was looking in the distance at the expanse of open sea, while driving my car across a bridge, which continued beyond what I could see. I didn’t know where I going, or where the bridge ended.

I noticed that off in the distance I could see an old fashion prop type airliner, to the left of the bridge coming closer. As I watched it was erratic in its flight pattern, appearing that it was going to crash. It was getting very close, and I feared that it would crash into me.

I then shifted into reverse and began to drive as quickly as I could to avoid a catastrophe. The airplane crossed over the bridge, very low, from left to right, hitting the structure, and causing it to slide into the sea, on the right side of the bridge, and it continued its forward momentum, as it hydroplaned toward me and my car.

I continued to flee, and got to the land base from where I started and ran into a building structure with a huge role up door. Looking through that door out over the sea, the old airplane slid right up to shore, no one got hurt, no damage to me or the airplane, no explosion, and everything was calm.

The interpretation

RHEMA WORD (12/ 05/ 09)

The interpretation came next morning:

“The land is our starting point, and also our familiar comfort zone. And the bridge is the path, road or way; I have set before you, in the way you should go. The reason it is a bridge over the water with sides on it is to steer you in the right direction, and to help prevent you from driving off the edge into the sea, sinking to the bottom, and becoming part of the sea, which is like a mass of lost, confused people of the world. The bridge is our path, by which we may rise above the world and not be a part of the world.

The bridge appears to have no end, and continues beyond what the eyes can see, for our destiny will continue into eternity. Remember not to anticipate or manipulate where you’re going, but continue on the path set before you, and continue on it, no matter what happens, or crisis which may come your way.

The old prop airliner represents the fear causing obstacles, as strongholds, sent by the enemy to reinforce your past failures, to create fear, stress and insecurity; giving them the power to manipulate and control you. After all, isn’t your enemy’s the prince and the powers of the air.

Fear is among the strongest of their weapons against you, to cause you to retreat, backside, and regress back the point from which you started. Some considers this to be viewed as a wilderness experience, having to take another trip around your mountain. This is where the Devil wants you; continually retreating back to your old ways, keeping you from traveling the path which I have set before you. And if that path is never traveled, your destiny will never be achieved.

The reason for the airplane coming at you was to trigger danger and fear that it may crash into you and cause severe destruction. But in the end there was no destruction, because the enemy has no power over you without my approval. They want you to retreat in fear, ineffective, and unable or willing to travel the path toward your destiny, and unproductive in my kingdom, lacking abundant life. The last part basically shows that fear is our real danger, not what the enemy can do.”
