Doing things my own way has only caused me hardship, frustration and wasted time and effort. Father I need your help.
(John 16:8-11)“And when He (HOLY SPIRIT) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me;” (str. 266; means: missing the mark, failure, offense, taking the wrong course, wrong doing, sin, guilt).“of righteousness, because I (Jesus) go to My Father and you see Me no more;” (str. 1343; means equity of character or act; justification, innocent, holy, just, meet, right). “of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” (str. 2920; means to compare crisis, carries the idea of a separating, the process of distinguishing and selecting, making a decision).
The ministry of the Spirit to unbelievers is that of conviction, by using unbelief to prove the weight of sin. The triumphant work of Christ was to prove the availability of righteousness, and the defeat of Satan to prove the solemn certainty of Judgment.
(John 16:12-15)“However, when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine (Jesus) and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
(1 Cor. 2:14)“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(Eph. 1:17-23)The Holy Spirit gives us: —“The Spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of Him (of Father God & Jesus), the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power —-.”
