Definition of the bride: Hebrew (str. 3618) A complete, (made) perfect; a bride (as if perfect); hence a sons wife-bride, daughter-in-law, spouse who is held back. The perfect ‘Bride of Christ (the called and chosen church / congregation) makes Christ, the son of God complete.
Greek (str. 3565) To veil as a bride, betrothed girl. Veil: (str. 2665) the door screen (to the most Holy Place) in the temple. (Heb. 10:19-23) “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated fir us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Betrothed: (str. 781 Heb.) to engage for matrimony: betroth, espouse, and is prior to the marriage consummation, of becoming one in the flesh.
