Your mind is a battle ground RHEMA WORD (3/ 15/ 09)

Father, help me to focus on you and your kingdom and not those things which are planted in my mind by the enemy.

“Your mind and your thoughts are is a battle ground, where the enemy plants traps and diversions; to lead you astray, and into areas which can entrap you, and hold you in bondage. Things may come to your mind, but you don’t have to entertain those thoughts, nor dwell on them.

Instead focus on things which will uplift, illuminate, and inspire your soul positively in all areas, of spiritual things, of praise and worship, and scripture, through the Holy Spirit. It is good to prepare yourself before prayer, to enhance our relationship, and weed out the negative, evil and lustful thoughts which our effect communion together.

Preparation for prayer can be as important as the prayer itself. Your prayer closet is not just a place, a toilette covering, a consistent location to meet with Me, but it is also a frame of mind, where ever, or whenever we meet, free or distractions for an intimate encounter.

The adversary has set up many distractions to prevent this experience from happening. Common excuses as: too busy, too much noise, television, social life, sports, work and family; in other words no time, no place, and no way.

Because of this many professing Christians never develop a genuine relationship with Me.  There is no real communion, between us, they don’t take the time to pray, seek or petition Me for anything. And because of this, they don’t hear Me, learn from Me, nor know Me. I am not their Lord who they know and honor; nor a Sheppard, whose voice they recognize and follow: I am not even their protection and salvation, because they go their own ways.

Without Me as their guide they are either My children in rebellion, or not My children at all. For they blame me for negative consequences, and for their own actions and bad choices. When they profess to be Mine, and live as the world, they become a primary target of the enemy to attack, and use as examples of a Christian hypocrite.

How can these Christian hypocrites claim they love me, when they don’t even know Me. You need to spent time with someone before you can know them, and you must know them before you can develop a relationship of love. When you love someone, you desire to spend more time with them, in a more intimate way; desiring to please them, and bring joy to their life.

Active, Intimate relationships is a sign of genuine love toward Me. Those who say they love me and spend no tome with me are deceivers. You will know those who are truly Mine by their love.
