“Spiritual growth does not come over night, but it is a gradual process, one step at a time. Even when you think you’re stagnant, and nothing seems to be happening. In our daily relationship spent together, there are subtle changes taking place.
Time spent in My presence on a consistent basis, your thought process, mind and emotions are undergoing changes, to be in unity with mine. You cannot manipulate these changes in your own efforts, to enhance this relationship, except through the Spirit.
Haven’t you noticed that when you develop our relationship together, you experience My presence, and peace which brings joy and fulfillment?
As you give up your life for My sake, the process of spiritual growth is accelerated. As in any learning experience you must first learn, and then apply what you have learned, and then put it into practice, and continue to apply it, in order to become a lifestyle trait in your character.
Spiritual growth brings freedom to be who you were created to be. You were created to be a giver, rather than a taker; to serve rather than to be served; one who desires to help, please and bless others, rather than being self focused on your own needs and wants.
This does not mean your needs are not important, but there is a spiritual principle of sewing and reaping. As you do to others, it will also be done to you. And as you give to others, it will also be given back to you, multiplied and overflowing.
Whatever you give out, whether good or bad, it will be returned to you in the same way. It may not happen immediately, but it will come.
Scripture says that the Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth, to teach you, guide you, and mold you into the image of Christ. I Am in you through My Spirit. Your growth is dependent on relationship with Me, so continue to submit, so spiritual growth can continue.
