Teaching to be a Witness RHEMA WORD (08 / 23/ 08)

“You are in the world, but don’t be of the world. You are meant to be a light in the world that draws people to Me, so don’t allow yourself to be venerable to the adversary, seeking to diminish and put the light out.

For you are an alien in a foreign land, a witness, and an ambassador to My spiritual kingdom. Expose that light where ever you are and let it shine, especially in dark places, as on the internet. Make it clear of your faith in Me, for many are called, but few are chosen.

You have an opportunity to witness and minister to others over the internet, which could reach thousands. Jesus said: ‘If you confess Me before others, I will confess you before the Father’.

When I say to not be inequality yoked together with unbelievers, it means not to have an intimate type relationship which binds people together, as sexual encounters, a covenant, written or contractual bond as in marriage, business relationships, and as your commitment to Me. That doesn’t mean that relationships with unbelievers is being yoked together, but it is being in the world, but you don’t have to be of the world, as they are; but be a living testimony unto them, so that you may draw them in through love, bringing glory to Me.

Your words are important, and represent your character, so, as your mouth speaks, so are you. Never lie or be deceptive, let you yes be yes, and your no, be no without wavering. But let your spoken words be sincere and trustworthy, having impact, and being guided by My Spirit.

Avoid the negative things as complaining, gossip and slander, but keep a positive attitude, speaking forth blessing, and building up others, with joy and laughter, and avoid cursing of any kind. Listen more and speak less, but when you speak, be positive and considerate. Don’t get into heavy subjects, unless others indicate an interest in going that direction.

I am teaching you to be a witness before Me, to be my ambassador of the love and compassion I have for all people, especially those who are lost. When people see those traits within you as a shining light, they are drawn to that light, with open hearts; they will seek to also have the hope that lies within you. They will say, ‘how may we also have, what you have’?

I know that there have been many programs and teachings which tend to manipulate conversation, force the gospel on people by being overbearing or forcing it on people. The reaction is often negative and even hostile. Love is not overbearing, but gentle.

You cannot force, nor manipulate people into genuine repentance and salvation, unless they are ready. For only My Spirit can draw them to repentance and salvation. You are not the Holy Spirit, but a witness, who hears My voice, and knows when and how to respond, where ever they may be.

If you exhibit the lifestyle that I ordained for you, My Spirit will lead and direct you where to go, and what to say, and when to say it.

Don’t merely be a Christian in Church, and around Church people, but be a genuine man of God, a living testimony, whose light shines on all people and in all places. If unbelievers are interested in knowing, and being friends, welcome them with love, as Christ did. But always be aware that you are a testimony for me, and an example to them, displaying and showing them the way to the hope that lies within you. Be humble, knowing that you are not better than they are, but by grace, and someone else, you were shown the way; and I can and will use you to also draw them into the fold.”
