Father I long for a right relationship with you, walking according to your ways, and in unity with your will. I haven’t been very sure of what I am doing, and often thinking that I may be going the wrong direction, or doing the wrong things.
I lack peace and assurance, primarily due to the problems that I seem to be facing, one after another. Either I’m doing the wrong thing, or I’m doing the right thing; the Devil knows it, and he is creating obstacles, diversions, and problems, to get me side tracked, off course, and discouraged and willing to give up. The first is the way I usually think, believing that you’re not behind my efforts, and I am on the wrong path. Then I am flooded by a mass of confusion and negative thoughts, thinking that I have failed again. But scripture says that you aren’t the author of confusion. And you won’t give us more than we can handle. Your word says that we live by faith, not by sight. Could all that is happening to me be more for the building of my character? Facing hardship and difficulties is what makes a person strong.
“What I have shown you, you have said to others; that the greatest degree of satanic attack is directed toward those who willing seek to become fathers in the faith. I have never promised that your walk would be easy, without problems, trials, hardships or tribulation. In fact, I have promised those who I have chosen, that they will experience these things.
The credentials to becoming a father in the faith is through firsthand experience. Strength of character doesn’t come by chance or something you read about, but is developed through experience, which leads to developing the fruits of My Spirit, becoming implanted in your soul.
Genuine fathers in the faith are able to dwell in the midst of a storm, and because of spiritual character building which has been developed in their lifestyle, which they are able to consistently stand strong, without wavering or complaining as an island of hope for the spiritually weak, who need a strong hold to weather the stormy seas.
When facing storms and difficulties, don’t complain and seek to flee from them. Instead learn to endure, and overcome the fear and negative thoughts which the enemy throws your way. The enemy wants you to fail, and to flee rather than to succeed, to become a victorious over-comer.
Many Christians assume that knowledge of scripture, seminary training, or people who have been ordained by organizations and church groups to be leaders, make them automatically spiritual fathers.
But I tell you the truth, that true spiritual fathers are ordained by Me. When the severe storms of life come, the true fathers and mothers in the faith will stand strong, because I have tested them and prepared them to endure and overcome. Genuine faith that can move mountains, comes through those who have had their faith tested, and through each test have become stronger, depending on My faithfulness, without wavering or running away, because they are faithful to the one, who has always been faithful to them. Their trust is in Me, and I know they can be trusted. To be a spiritual father that the enemy fears comes with a price.
