The Two Trees RHEMA WORD (02 / 14-15/ 08)

God through His original creation displayed His love and blessings. So That Mankind could choose to love Him, and be righteous before Him; He planted the two trees in the garden, the ‘tree of life and the other tree is the ‘tree of Good and evil.’ The fruit of the tree of life was good; and was intended to bring eternal life. The Tree of Life was a gift to Mankind.

The Tree of good and evil was to give Mankind, the ability to make decisions to choose between good and evil; a life in obedience, or death in disobedience and rebellion.

(Genesis 2:8-9, 15-18)  “Then the Lord God commanded the man saying, ‘of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; ‘The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die’. And the Lord God said, ‘it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

At that time neither rebellion against God, sin, nor death existed in the lives of Mankind, and probably wasn’t understood.

Rebellion and sin brought the curse. Lucifer and the angels (demons), who fell into rebellion against God, was the first to sin. And through manipulation and deception, the serpent (Lucifer) caused Adam and Eve to also sin against God, and becoming captive to his ways.

(Genesis 3:4-7) “Then the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surly die (the lie). For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened (to what sin was), and you will be like God (becoming our own gods), knowing good and evil (because evil has entered man’s world).’ So the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise (the lure and deception of the lust of this world), she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened (to the reality of sin), and they knew that they were naked (without God’s protective covering from sin); and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings (man is under his own protection).”

Like Lucifer, and his demons, mankind had followed the lie of Satan, rather than God, and had fallen from His canopy of protection, giving Lucifer dominion and control over them, and the world which was created for them.  But God had a plan of redemption:

(Genesis 3:15) “And I will put enmity (conflict) between you (Satan) and the woman (Jesus and His bride), and between your seed (Satan’s disciples) and her Seed (God’s children); He shall bruise your head (the resurrected Jesus, and His mighty forces, straightly destroying the head of Satins kingdom), and you (Satan) shall bruise His heel (causing pain and damage, but not overcoming).”

From the very beginning, we are prophesied to be the victors.
