Father, you have given me gifts which I am not using, which I want to use but the doors are closed. Instead of doing what I want to do, I’m doing what I have to do, and feeling unfulfilled. Maybe this is my wilderness experience, but when will I be free to leave the wilderness to inter the promise land? Please father, I no longer want to waste any more of my life, being lost in the wilderness, and going in wrong directions.
“This is a time of training and preparation, not a time to produce. For everything there is a season, and this present season is for your learning to trust in Me. For most of your previous life was relying on your own talents and abilities. But now you are being trained to rely on what I can do through you with My inspiration, elimination, and revelation, wisdom and insight.
For I know things about you that you don’t know about yourself. I created you for a purpose, and have a plan for your life. Much of your past life was controlled and motivated through self pride, in the gifts you were given; just as Lucifer was consumed by the gifts he was given.
But in your case, you are in the process of redemption, so that I may use those gifts the way they were intended, for My glory. For you were created and prepared for such a time as this. I had made plans for you since before the foundation of the world.
I receive much glory, when I can take someone as you, who once had a self focused ego, and mold you into a giving servant. Yes you are motivated. And yes you do have gifts that have not been used to accomplish the fullness of your potential. And again yes much can be accomplished through these gifts.
But they are like a raging river that is out of control, which can cause damage, erosion, and flooding, and causing destruction. I am harnessing those gifts to be productive and be a blessing first to Me, and then to others. Water brings life, causes things to grow, and cleanses. Your gift and future was designed to bring life and not destruction. As I have said many times; ‘give Me all, and I will give you all’. Your days of fulfillment and achievement are coming.”
