Developing Spiritual Maturity RHEMA WORD (01 / 15/ 08)

Father, it seems as though I am self focused in my prayers, by wanting to know about you and how you think and operate, about where my life is going, and the changes needing to be made.

“I will ask you a question? Should the student be teaching the teacher? Or should a baby or a child tell the parents how to raise them, discipline them, or teach them to be parents? The answer is obvious. To be an affective parent or teacher, you must first be taught, practice and be refined in doing and living what was taught, for experience and maturity.

A student in the process of maturing must go beyond head knowledge and ideas, to effectively perform the learned task in a variety of circumstances, without doubt, but with confidence, and proven through testing. Proven success in testing, qualifies the student progress to the next level of spiritual maturity.

My purpose is to develop babies into children, and children into developing students in training. Developing students should be preparing to train others, less mature. Their desire and objective should be in becoming mature fathers and elders in the faith, full of wisdom, able to effectively live what they teach, and then train others to do the same.

Unfortunately there is a lacking of spiritual fathers or elders in the church. Churches are filled with babies, and immature children; and many remain that way throughout their life, never desiring to develop into maturity. Also many in leadership positions in the churches, in spite of good intensions, are not qualified, nor ordained by Me to preach, teach, or lead.

Because of this My babies and children within many churches are stagnant and ineffective. It often becomes the blind leading the blind. Or the spiritually immature attempting to please Me by their own efforts, without My approval, nor with the power of My Spirit working in their mist. These stagnant churches have become more a social organization, than people promoting My kingdom.

It is better to focus on the development of spiritual maturity, and do the things, which I give you to do, as assignments. For I, the Spirit of Truth, will teach you, and lead you to do the will of He who sent Me; to teach you, and to empower you. When you are ready to teach and lead, you will know, as it will be with others also, which are progressing through the refining process.

I am calling all My children to become spiritual fathers, who are prepared, or being prepared and ordained to lead My people.

What you pray, or what I communicate to you, is not self focused, but through this, I am making you and others like you ready for what will soon be coming. I will lead and guide your life as I see fit. Commit your ways unto Me and you will have nothing to fear or worry about, for I am with you always.”
