“Be who you are, and don’t pretend to be someone who you are not. A hypocrite is looked down upon, but a transparent person which displays’ flaws is merely considered ‘human’. It is easier for others to relate, because they too have flaws.
There are people who give the image of being better than others, which intimidates, and makes others feel self-conscious. Some people desire to feel superior, and intimidate others.
But in reality, many are not as they seem: hypocritical, proud, self-centered, selfish, self seeking, people are like empty shells; desiring to stimulate their egocentric pride. As Lucifer’s pride, they crave admiration, envy, and praise.
Inwardly they are empty, insecure, dissatisfied, with a lust for more of whatever motivate them. The empty feeling or lacking is a spiritual void. But pride and ego, keeps them from seeking Me.
This is a profile of many of the world leaders, who seek power, fame and fortune. Self-focused pride comes before a fall. People with pride and ego, and an unyielding heart, are prevented from entering My kingdom.
Because a yielding heart leads to conviction and repentance, necessary to inter into My kingdom. To become strong in Me, pride and ego must be yielded into humility. In weakness I will make you strong, with My strength.
Pride and the ways of the world, requires reliance on self; but in My kingdom I require, dependence, reliance and humility so that My power and authority may flow through you. This process is called faith, because faith not only requires these things, but it also believes in The One who is always faithful.
Faith becomes complete when belief is blended with action. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and I will lift you up.
David was a man after My own heart, because in good times or bad times, times of weakness or trouble, he humbled himself before Me, offering praise and worship at all times, and was dependent on My wisdom and strength. Because of this, I lifted him up, and placed a hedge of protection about him.
He knew that his faith and strength was in Me. He knew that it was My spirit working through him, which made him who he was. In times of repentance he would cry out for mercy: ‘take not your holy spirit from me; and preserve within me a clean heart.”
