We can learn from our pets (01/ 29/ 10)

Looking at my dog, I realize how God created the animals live in the present now, unconcerned about the past futures, or stressed or worry about future possibilities.

They respond to love, secure around those who treat them with affection.

If they feel happy and secure in their environment, they display contentment by wagging their tail, licking you, or wanting to play.

When you have been away, and come home, they are excited to see you, displayed by their own unique body language and gestures; jumping up and down, and running around in excitement.

Where ever you go, they desire to follow you, and to be where ever you are; and desiring to be in your presence.

When trained through discipline, they will respond to your command, obedient and with a willing desire to please you.

As their master, they display to you their love and affection, feeling secure with you.             They become bonded to you, and desire to please you.

We can learn from our pets the way we should be with our Lord and master, who loves us, and desires for us to love and be with him; just as our pets want to be with us.
