DISCRIPTION & HISTORY
The unique fine arts and contemporarily surrealism art, has paved the way for a new age of spiritual awakening for creative, unique wall art, by Christian artists like David L Forbes, who have gone beyond the mold of traditionalism, to reveal a prophets approach to spiritual art enlightenment of dreams and visions. His paintings display spiritual Bible mysteries, which present inspirational revelation and the interpretation of dreams and visions, personally experienced and presented through his Christian art prints. In his first professional art brochure, compiled in 1973, he laid the foundational blue print of his artistic destiny. In it, he expresses his inspirational philosophy behind dreams, their interpretations, and the source of creativity, through the illuminating light of inspiration. In 1978 David L Forbes quit painting, after a dramatic vision, which closed the doors of opportunity. Now, thirty years later the time is right, to
re-establish his dream art.
ARTISTS OBJECTIVE
It has been said: "A great painting speaks a thousand words". It can also be said that: "The objective and basis of all art is to achieve a quality of communication". The goal and hope of all true artists; is that their inspirational creativity can be expressed with impact to our physical and spiritual senses. Great art; stimulates motivates and activates our thoughts and creativity. Artists are; creative enlightened communicators, seeking to contribute to art history for recognition. Where does creativity come from? Is it something which is self induced, or might it be inspiration which comes from some ware outside of ourselves? Could it be that artists, created in the image of God, are merely imitators of ‘God the Creator’?
A PHOLOSOPHY OF CREATIVITY
The primary theme of primitive historical art was based in religion. Historically, dreams and visions are associated with spiritual or supernatural insight, with prophetic potential. The secular perspective would describe dreams as a subconscious phenomenon. This means that genuine surrealism art, dream art, visionary art, or vision art are not only connected to the subconscious mind, it may also be connected to the prophetic and spiritual realm?
The Bible (OT) says:" In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth".
The Bible (NT) says: "I the beginning was the word". The link between these two quotations may answer the great mystery of why we exist? Could it be that we, ourselves, and our environmental surroundings is an artistic expression, communicated by the "Ultimate Creative Artist"? If this is true, this implies that God’s creation is an expression of His revelation, and through it He communicates to us through our physical senses and prophetic spiritual inspiration. With a prophet’s inspiration, (Joel 2:28) says: "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions". Truth is not based in beliefs, but the spiritual impartation of God’s prophetic wisdom. Mankind is getting ready to inter a new age, anticipated by many beliefs and religions. Some call it the coming ‘Messianic age’, to others ‘The Age of enlightenment’, or ‘New World Order’ and etc.
